We'd like to invite you to the next IDBE workshop on Monday, 01 April at Leica Geosystems AG – Heinrich-Wild Strasse, CH-9435 Heerbrugg, Switzerland, that will precede the meetings of the Integrated Digital Built Environment (IDBE) Sub Committee. IDBE (Integrated Digital Built Environment) is a collaboration between OGC and buildingSMART International and is aimed at the integration of built environment data (traditionally from the geospatial or AEC domains).
Previous IDBE workshops covered the existing standards, their history and roadmaps, where the last event in September focused on Data, Interoperability and our Urban World.
This time we would like to have a special view to the rail related use cases and the need of interoperability for applications in this industry. The result of the workshop should give some input for the IDBE SC to align the roadmaps of the working groups of both standard organizations. (InfraGML1.0 already cover some parts of railways and the a lot of ongoing initiatives within the Rail room of bSI).
Gotomeeting details for those of you who will be unable to attend in person will be provided later.
We'll have a room for about 40 people. Please feel free to send this invitation to colleagues who might be interested in attending either remotely or in person (in modest numbers, of course).
