Valencia airport has connections from many European capitals, and if people choose to fly (using a travel agent) to Madrid or Barcelona then the extra Valencia flight is normally not much (or any) extra cost. So there's no need
to take trains unless people really wan to see the countryside.

  • Car - From Milano: Take the "A8" highway, "Laghi-Sesto Calende-Varese" direction; then take the "A26" highway, "Gravellona Toce" diretion; Nearest way out to Stresa; "Carpugnino"
  • Train - Stresa is on the main railway Milano - Simplon - Geneva - Paris. The train station is within walking distance from the Hotel. Taxi are usually available outside the train station.
  • Plane - The Hotel is 45Km Northeast of Milano Malpensa Airport (MXP) and 110Km northeast of Milano Linate Airport (LIN).

  • Take a taxi from Malpensa airport to Stresa. It costs between 100-150 €, (depending day/evening etc.), or
  • Take a taxi or the Malpensa Express bus from Malpensa airport to Milano or Gallarate station. The bus-stop is outside the airport and there are departures every 20 minutes, (duration 15 minutes). From Milano Centrale (http://www.trenitalia.com/ or http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html ) or Gallarate station to Stresa, you can take the train (1 hour by train). When you arrive at Stresa station, you can walk, as the hotels are just down the hill (5 Minutes) or take a taxi.

From *Berlin-Tegel Airport* please take *Express Bus (Line X9)* to *"Bahnhof Zoologischer Garten"*. Buses operate between 5:30 a. m. and 11:30 p. m. in frequent intervals (10 minutes). The bus ride takes about 30 minutes.

At "Zoologischer Garten" enter the train station across the bus stop and take *Railway Line RE 1*, direction Brandenburg or Magdeburg. This train commutes between Berlin and Potsdam and runs every 30 minutes. Get off this train at Potsdam-Hauptbahnhof. The train ride takes approx. 20 minutes.
Total travelling time from the airport to Potsdam: 60 - 90 minutes

For public transport please purchase a ticket "Berlin ABC" which is also valid for Potsdam.

Carpooling to the BAE Facility is highly encouraged. Our meetings will be held in Building 61. Please allow adequate time to check in through security.

NOTE: Passport or State Issued Photo ID are required at all times. Memory sticks, Recording devices, Cameras and Camera cell phones are not allowed on the campus at any time. If you are bringing a laptop with you, please download, fillout and return the NON-BAE SYSTEMS PORTABLE COMPUTING DEVICE form via fax to +1 (858) 592-5734, prior to your travel. Anyone who does not submit these forms in advance will not be permitted to bring in a laptop! We will not have Wireless Internet during this meeting, however, "open" internet access will be provided in each room via CAT5 cables. Wireless cards must be removed, Wireless and Bluetooth antennas must be turned off, and microphones disabled.
