OGC® IndoorGML

This OGC® IndoorGML standard specifies an open data model and XML schema for indoor spatial information. IndoorGML is an application schema of OGC® GML 3.2.1. While there are several 3D building modelling standards such as CityGML, KML, and IFC, which deal with interior space of buildings from geometric, cartographic, and semantic viewpoints, IndoorGML intentionally focuses on modelling indoor spaces for navigation purposes.

OGC® PUCK Protocol Standard

This standard defines a protocol for RS232 and Ethernet connected instruments. PUCK addresses installation and configuration challenges for sensors by defining a standard instrument protocol to store and automatically retrieve metadata and other information from the instrument device itself.

OGC® WaterML

WaterML 2.0 is a standard information model for the representation of water observations data, with the intent of allowing the exchange of such data sets across information systems. Through the use of existing OGC standards, it aims at being an interoperable exchange format that may be re-used to address a range of exchange requirements, some of which are described later in this document.

OGP / IPIECA Oil Spill Response Common Operating Picture (COP)

Published report

This project is completed and the final report has been published by IPIECA.   The resport has also been approved as an OGC Best Practice.

This report provides recommended practice for GIS/mapping in support of oil spill response and for the use of GIS technology and geospatial information in forming a “Common Operating Picture” to support management of the response.

The OGC Open GeoSMS Standard provides developers with an extended Short Message Service (SMS) encoding and interface to facilitate communication of location content between different LBS (Location-Based Service) devices or applications. Open Location Services Testbed

The OpenLS Testbed yielded Interoperability Program Reports (IPRs) that have become approved OpenGIS® Specifications in support of interoperable Location Based Services to be made available through mobile terminals. The OpenLS Testbed ended with a successful multi-vendor, specification-based mobile demonstration of these interfaces in action.

Testbed Sponsors included Hutchison 3G (UK), Oracle, Webraska (France), ESRI (US), Sun Microsystems (US) and In-Q-Tel (US).

OpenGIS Transducer Markup Language (TML) Encoding Specification

*THIS STANDARD HAS BEEN RETIRED* The OpenGIS® Transducer Markup Language Encoding Standard (TML) is an application and presentation layer communication protocol for exchanging live streaming or archived data to (i.e. control data) and/or sensor data from any sensor system. A sensor system can be one or more sensors, receivers, actuators, transmitters, and processes. A TML client can be capable of handling any TML enabled sensor system without prior knowledge of that system.
