Object Domain Modeling Support (ODMS) Initiative

The ODMS Initiative developed a domain model for utilities as a vehicle to achieve semantic interoperability within and across information communities. The model shows how users within the utilities arena and those in related disciplines such as engineering and public safety can more easily share geographic data, even if they choose to name features differently. The OGC worked on the initiative with the CADD/GIS Center for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (CADD/GIS Center). A UML model for Utilities was developed and delivered and is available from the CADD/GIS Center.

Federated Earth Observation Pilot

The Federated Earth Observation Missions (FedEO) Pilot will provide a broad international venue for operational prototyping and demonstration of Earth Observation (EO) requirements as defined by the European Space Agency (ESA) and by other OGC members. OGC seeks additional sponsorship for complimentary requirements. (ESA was the only FedEO sponsor.) The FedEO Pilot will apply and refine OGC specifications relevant to EO. OGC will release a formal Call for Participation (CFP) to encourage broad international participation.

Sensor Model Language (SensorML) 2.0 SWG

The purpose of this Standards Working Group is to update the SensorML Version 1.0 Standard resulting in  a new Version.  The SWG will achieve this objective by evaluating and processing the Change Requests listed in the Charter while ensuring that the standard is consistent with the OGC baseline and business plan.

This is the main page for the SensorML v2.0 standards working group. We will utilize this page and two other resources heavily:

The work of the REST Sub Committee of the OGC Standards Program is to define a set of best practices and potentially rules for use in creating REST serializations/instances of existing or furture OGC web services standards.
