CityGML SWG

Purpose of this Standards Working Group

The purpose of this SWG is to revise the OpenGIS® City Geography Markup Language (CityGML) 2.0 Encoding Standard. The SWG will achieve this objective by evaluating and resolving submitted Change Request Proposals (CRPs) assigned to the CityGML SWG.

Suggest a conference for OGC to support

Every year executive staff members from the OGC attend and participate in many events around the world. These events generally focus on geospatial and location issues, but as the number of OGC Domain Working Groups grows and the reach of OGC standards expands, our standards are becoming relevant in a wider range of domains. We need input and guidance from OGC members regarding industry events that best address member needs based on the usefulness and relevance of OGC standards.

If you would like to suggest an event for OGC to consider, please complete the OGC Conference Suggestion form below. Please note that the OGC does not fund non-OGC events, but sponsors events by providing presenters, allowing use of our logo and offering our global marketing reach to promote events. OGC staff time is subject to availability and priority is given to international events where we can most efficiently deliver our message about the value of OGC standards and OGC membership.

HDWG Groundwater 2 IE

This groundwater interoperability experiment (GW2IE) will develop and test the GroundWater Markup Language 2, by harmonizing and advancing existing modeling initiatives such as: GWML1, relevant EU-INSPIRE models (Geology-hydrogeology, Environmental monitoring facilities), GeoSciML, and others. It will produce an engineering report in preparation for movement to an OGC data specification subsequent to the GW2IE.

OGC® Open Modelling Interface (OpenMI) Interface Standard

The purpose of the Open Modelling Interface (OpenMI) is to enable the runtime exchange of data between process simulation models and also between models and other modelling tools such as databases and analytical and visualization applications. Its creation has been driven by the need to understand how processes interact and to predict the likely outcomes of those interactions under given conditions. A key design aim has been to bring about interoperability between independently developed modelling components, where those components may originate from any discipline or supplier. The ultimate...
