Travel to Hotel La Palma

  • Car - From Milano: Take the "A8" highway, "Laghi-Sesto Calende-Varese" direction; then take the "A26" highway, "Gravellona Toce" diretion; Nearest way out to Stresa; "Carpugnino"
  • Train - Stresa is on the main railway Milano - Simplon - Geneva - Paris. The train station is within walking distance from the Hotel. Taxi are usually available outside the train station.
  • Plane - The Hotel is 45Km Northeast of Milano Malpensa Airport (MXP) and 110Km northeast of Milano Linate Airport (LIN).

Additional details (not yet confirmed, as the train schedules are not listed after December 8th).

  • Take a taxi from Malpensa airport to Stresa. It costs between 100-150 €, (depending day/evening etc.), or
  • Take a taxi or the Malpensa Express bus from Malpensa airport to Milano or Gallarate station. The bus-stop is outside the airport and there are departures every 20 minutes, (duration 15 minutes). From Milano Centrale (http://www.trenitalia.com/ or http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html ) or Gallarate station to Stresa, you can take the train (1 hour by train). When you arrive at Stresa station, you can walk, as the hotels are just down the hill (5 Minutes) or take a taxi.

Local Information and Travel: 

Many of the hotels in Boulder suggest that the best way to get from the Denver airport is by Super Shuttle , located on level 5 near the baggage claim area. No advance reservations are needed. Just go to the super shuttle booth. The phone number is +1 303-227-0000. The shuttle leaves the airport at 10 past every hour and the manager said most of the time they have 2 or three shuttles running each hour. The cost is $25 for one person. If there is more than one person, the additional cost for the second, third or fourth person is $10 each.

The cost of a taxi is approximately $80.00.

NOTE: This Room Block closes on 15 September. After that date, the room rate may go up and rooms are subject to availability. Lack of availability does not reduce our room block, and therefore, does not waive your requirement to stay in the room block.

If you work more that 80 miles from Tyson`s Corner, you must stay in the the OGC Room Block to in order to have your Meeting fees reduced. (See OGC's Room Block Policy FAQ`s, as well as the Government per diem justification letter).

PLEASE NOTE: There are meeting fees associated with this meeting, however, due to increased Member Benefits, OGC Members now receive complimentary registrations for each meeting.

Lunches are not included in the meeting fees and must be paid for at registration. Lunches will be in the cantina on site are £7.00 (~12.50 USD) per day. Lunch Tickets will be issued based upon your registration selection. Lunch fees are non-refundable.
