OGC(R) announces HellasGI Greek Interoperability Day

Bonn, Germany, March 25, 2009 - The Open Geospatial Consortium, Inc. (OGC®) announces that an Interoperability Day event will be held in conjunction with HellasGI on Friday the 3rd of April, 2009 at the Ledra Marriot Hotel in Athens, Greece.

OGC standards are becoming widely used in the geospatial world and they hold the key to building geospatial data infrastructures based on interoperable components. The EU supports wider adoption of these and other standards through the INSPIRE directive.

The Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) announces OGC Interoperability Day, an all-day event to be held on March 28 at the Westin St. Louis Hotel in St. Louis, Missouri. The demonstration will showcase results from the OGC Web Services 5 (OWS-5) Testbed. OGC Interoperability Day is sponsored by the OGC, Northrop Grumman and the US National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).

January 28, 2009, Wayland, Mass. - The members of the Open Geospatial Consortium, Inc. (OGC) have submitted a Request for Comments (RFC) on version 0.2.2 of the Earth Observation (EO) Products Extension Package for ebRIM (ISO/TS 15000-3) Profile of CSW 2.0 (OGC document 06-131). (ebRIM is the electronic business Registry Information Model from the OASIS standards organization.
