Wayland, MA, 28 July 2010. The Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC®) recently concluded the OGC Web Services, Phase 7 (OWS-7) Testbed initiative. Interoperability architectures, enhancements to existing OGC standards, and candidate standards developed in the testbed for sensors, video change detection, database synchronization, information cataloguing, web processing services, event architecture and aviation will be presented in a 2 hour webinar.

4 March 2014 - The Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC®) Academic Summit 2014 will be held 15-16 September 2014 at the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada as part of the September OGC Technical Committee Meeting.
10 July 2014. For more than a decade the OGC Interoperability Program has used an agile testbed-based development process to deliver open standards for communicating spatial information of all kinds. The OGC is now planning OGC Testbed 11. You are invited to bring your organization’s spatial information communication requirements to this innovative process for making “where” data move easily through workflows.
21 January 2015 - The OGC and Fraunhofer IOSB have organized the Geospatial ICT Support for Crisis Management and Response workshop at ISCRAM 2015. The workshop organizers invite participation and they invite participants to submit crisis scenario descriptions. These will be used to demonstrate the effectiveness of existing international geospatial data encoding and service standards.
23 June 2015. Members of the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC®) request comments on the draft charter for an OGC Hydrologic Features (HY_Features) Standards Working Group (SWG). The purpose of the proposed SWG is to progress the HY_Features hydrologic feature model to the state of an adopted OGC standard for a common and stable identification and referencing of hydrologic features.
