OGC, EuroSDR and Geonovum have organised a workshop on CityGML for national mapping, which will be held 21/22 January 2013 at IGN in Paris. The aim of the workshop is to present implementations of the OGC CityGML Encoding Standard, an open data model and XML-based format for the storage and exchange of virtual 3D city models. Workshop participants will also explore what is needed to make the standard further fit for 3D implementation covering large areas and various application domains.
