After six Geospatial World Forum conferences, this year Geospatial Media and Communications was presented with an excellent opportunity to work together with our colleagues at the European Commission to co-organize the Forum and the INSPIRE conference. The OGC, too, has been actively engaged as a Strategic Partner.

Twelfth Plenary Session of the Group on Earth Observations (GEO-XII)

The Twelfth Plenary Session of the Group on Earth Observations (GEO-XII), hosted by Mexico, will take place in Mexico City, from 11 to 12 November 2015. The GEO 2015 Mexico City Ministerial Summit will take place on 13 November 2015.

The GEO-XII Plenary will take place at the Hilton Reforma, Mexico City, on its first meeting day, Nov 11th 2015.

On November 12th 2015, the second day of GEO-XII Plenary, the meeting will be held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, located a few steps away from the Hilton Reforma.

Caucus Meetings and the Executive Committee Meeting, will take place from 9th-12th November, 2015, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

GEO Side Events will take place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Hotel Hilton.

4th International Conference on Agro-geoinformatics (Agro-geoinformatics 2015)

The Fourth International Conference on Agro-Geoinformatics (Agro-Geoinformatics 2015) will be held in Istanbul, Turkey, on July 20-24, 2015. This conference is organized and hosted by TARBIL Agricultural Informatics Applied Research Center and Istanbul Technical University (ITU), with technical and financial sponsorships from Republic of Turkey Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Live stock, Institute of Agricultural Resources and Regional Planning of CAAS, USDS NASS, OGC, IEEE GRSS and many other organizations. The Center for Spatial Information Science and Systems (CSISS) of George Mason University is the co-organizer.

Agro-geoinformation is critical for the agricultural sustainability, food security, environmental research, bioenergy, natural resource conservation, land use management, carbon accounting, global climate change, health research, agricultural industry, commodity trading, economy research, education, agricultural decision making and policy formulation, etc. The Agro-Geoinformatics conferences were successfully held in Shanghai, China (Agro-Geoinformatics 2012), Washington DC, USA (Agro-Geoinformatics 2013), and Beijing, China (Agro-Geoinformatics 2014).
